In early 2020 the COVID-19 global pandemic shut down schools across the world. Teachers scrambled to make meaningful lessons for their students. I heard this call, and reacted immediately, working daily to provide free and accessible professional development for educators across the globe.

Teaching math at a distance

I wrote the guide
Becoming a Bestseller in under 5 weeks, this book was written to disseminate all the strategies for online learning that I developed over a decade of purposeful implementation. It was co-published by Corwin and The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. It was selected by CEHD for the Showcase of Books for President Washington at George Mason University.

I created video tutorials
My YouTube channel supported teachers with Mathematics specific content for teaching at a distance. These short videos were quickly spread and accepted because I transferred activities and routines from in-person learning and showed how to implement them online.

Teaching Through Technology save the date announcement

I created spaces for peers to share
Showcasing faculty use of teaching through technology is an important step in sharing ideas. I partnered with another faculty member and created a Teaching Through Technology Discovery Fair where we had over 30 faculty from George Mason University present the innovative ways in which they use technology in their classrooms.
